Why the hose planted in a very cold region does not produce fruit ?

Why exertada hose, which is planted on the site of a friend located in Black River , very cold region in the state of Minas Gerais , does not produce fruit for about three years? Is this normal? Luciane Moreno Mendes , Matthew , ES .

It is normal hose , tropical fruit tree not produce fruit if located in regions where the climate is very cold and wet . With such winter weather is conducive to severe disease incidence , the main factor that limits the production of hose. These diseases , especially anthracnose on flowering plant occur during the months of June, July and August , resulting in null fruiting hose . However , where winter is warm and dry , as in the central Brazilian plateau , the climatic conditions are favorable for the development of the sleeves .
