The Brazilian Coffee Industry Association ( ABIC ) announced on Friday (13/ 12) the outcome of the auction of the 10th National Awards for Quality Coffee Abic All 38 60-kg bags of coffee from seven finalists lots were traded in strike ended on Tuesday ( 10/12) . The Cooperative of Coffee Growers of Pine Region ( Coopinhal ) , the Holy Spirit of Pine ( SP ) , the company was champion in the Gold category for the highest amount paid for a bag of coffee or pulped natural : R $ 1,054.54 . The Coopinhal scooped the lot 8 bags of Luiza producer Laura Del Guerra , also Pinhal , the total amount of R $ 8,436.32 .
Have the company of Chef Café , Brasília ( DF ) , is the winner in the category Diamond by higher investment : R $ 10,229.00 in the acquisition of 8 bags of assorted lots . The Chef Cafe also won the title of champion in the Special Category , to fasten microlote producer champion of this contest, Eufrasio Souza Lima , the Barra Shack ( BA ) , for R $ 2,740.00 per bag ( total of R $ 5,480 ) .
According to the President of the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association ( ABIC ) , Américo Sato , the amount paid by the sack microlote is the most accomplished , yet , in national and regional competitions .
The auction began on day 3 and was open to industries , cafeterias, restaurants , hotels and other corporations. The minimum bid accepted for all finalists cafes was R $ 513.80 , or 50 % above the odds BM & FBovespa 29 November to contracts maturing in March on the New York Stock Exchange ( ICE Futures U.S. ) .
The coffees purchased at auction by the companies will be processed and will hit the market in April 2014 , in packs of 250 grams , numbered , composing the 10th Special Edition of Best Coffees of Brazil .
