The Defense Agriculture state will be responsible for survey areas hit by plague. At Embrapa , will be responsible for technical support to the training of those who will present on the incidence of caterpillar control in crops .
" In Roraima , social data to small farmers and indigenous communities are the main concerns," the statement said Embrapa . " There are 40,000 families in family farming that should be watched for not able to treat the plague alone ," he added mentioning the Federation of Agricultural Workers of the State ( Fetag / RR ) .
Also according to Embrapa , the first suspicion of caterpillar appeared earlier this year in a planting beans. Researchers were in crops, samples collected and sent for analysis . In the process of identifying DNA was confirmed to be Helicoverpa armigera .

For those who had attacked the crop , the recommendation is to monitor and maintain contact with Embrapa .
" This caterpillar attacks several species of economic interest , such as soybeans , cotton, beans , corn and tomatoes.
