Sales of agricultural machinery in Brazil go to hit a record this year , which is forecast to 83,000 units . Event reaches the volume of sales, up from the previous year is 18.4 % compared with last year . From January to October this year , an increase of 21.7 % over the same period of 2012. So far we have sold more than 71,000 agricultural machines across the country , more than 58 000 units sold over the past year . The information was disclosed on Wednesday ( 06 / 11 ) by the National Association of Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea ) .

" The forecasts are being achieved and we are looking at the historical record of sales of agricultural machinery in 2013 . From a structural standpoint , Brazilian agriculture is well , it is competitive and therefore should end the year with 83,000 units sold , "says vice president of Anfavea , Milton Rego . The record sales of agricultural machinery in the country is 80 100 units in 1976 , due to the large volume of buying small tractors for colonization of the cerrado .

In October, sales of agricultural machinery fell by 0.9 % compared to September and -2.4 % compared with the same month last year . Exports also fell by 5.9% from January to October this year , totaling 12,800 units , compared to the same period of 2012 ( 13,600 units ) . It is expected that in 2013 exports result in a reduction of 17.2 % compared to 2012 .

The production of the machines in Brazil in October , which totaled 10,000 units , was up quade 30 % compared to the same month of the previous year ( 7700 units ) .

According to Rego , disbursements for the purchase of agricultural machinery to farmers through the More Food Program remain at the same levels in the last years, but " improved qualitatively ."

" In the early years of the program , they bought small tractors , usually the first . Over the past two years , leaving more processing equipment designed for farms and reducing intervals between harvest and preparation for harvest requires an improvement in the quality of the machinery producer , "he says .
