Ecology

A preservação do meio onde vivemos.
The preservation of the environment where we live.

Ecology (from Greek "oikos" meaning house, and "logos", study, reflection), is the branch of biology that studies the interactions between living things and the environment where they live, involving the dependence on water, soil and air.

Thus, the relationships go beyond individual behavior and the influence caused by environmental factors (temperature, humidity, pressure). But extend to the organization of species populations, communities, forming an ecosystem and the entire biosphere.

Among the main relationships are:

Intraspecific relationships → harmonic society and cologne;

Inharmonious intraspecific relations → cannibalism and intraspecific competition.

Interspecific relationships harmonic → mutualism, proto, inquilinismo and commensalism;

Interspecific relationships inharmonious → amensalismo, predation, parasitism, and interspecific competition.
