The other day I bought oranges with good looks, but inside the buds were dry. I wonder why it takes the fruit to this condition, it can be eaten and how to choose the best quality retail oranges?

When present the dried juice vesicles and low contents juice, sugars and acids, citrus fruits have been subjected to a physiological process known as granulation. The occurrence of this phenomenon is linked to the high temperatures and weather conditions unfavorable to the development of citrus, such as orange. It is hardly possible to assess the internal conditions of the fruits without opening them. However, when there are no choices must evaluate them only by Weight - The lighter may be granulated. These fruits can be eaten, although they are bland and a little juice, which does not please any palate.
