World coffee exports retreats 9.5% in June, according to the ICO

The world's coffee exports declined by 9.54% in June, compared to the same June 2012. Shipments totaled 8.64 million bags of 60 pounds versus 9.56 million bags in June 2012, informed the International Coffee Organization (ICO), on Wednesday, 31.

The world exports in the first nine months of coffee year 2012/13 (October 2012 to June 2013) increased by approximately 3.4% to 84.31 million bags, compared with close to 81.51 million bags in previous period.

Over the past 12 months ending in June 2013, exports of Arabica totaled 68.54 million bags, compared to the volume of 64.67 million bags in the previous year. The boarding robust in the period was 43.84 million bags compared to 40.13 million bags.
