The service veterinary and phytosanitary Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) updated information on the status of its Brazilian meat producers able to export to the country. According to data available on its website, the unit pork BRF in Uberlândia (MG*) is free of "tight control" imposed recently by the authorities.

List of 21 units that are authorized to sell to the market, with 16 follow "temporary restrictions", ie, are prevented from boarding lots, one - Seara, Seara (SC**) follows with "strict control" and only four may sell the country without impediments.

Even with only four units able to export to the country, according to the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Pork (Abipecs), Russia remains the main market in July and YTD.

Last month, the country imported 13,400 tons of pork, up 13.04% over the same month last year, with revenues of U.S. $ 38.87 million, up 26.86%. The share of Russia in total Brazilian exports was 26.57% in volume and 30.82% in revenue. For the year, Russia registered a share of 28.34% in volume (82,455 metric tons) and 31.75% in revenue (U.S. $ 240,145,000).
