(Not always indicate some lumps in the udder disease, says consultant)

On the outside of the udder of two cows from my small herd of dairy cattle appeared a lump 3-5 centimeters, which stuck after five days. Is it mastitis, as I said here?

The body has the function of drainage and combating micro-organisms invading the mammary gland. In a healthy cow, the retro-mammary lymph node is not evident. However, in cases of mastitis, it can increase in size, and sometimes leak enough to pierce and pus. Thus, it is an infection of one or more mammary glands. It is recommended to request a visit from a veterinarian on site to advise and guide the correct medication.
