The full Senate approved granddaughter Tuesday (24/9) bill that officially recognizes the cowboy profession. The session was attended by several cowboys, dressed with hat and doublet, who were in the Senate all day asking for the vote and approval of the matter.
The text defines the cowboy as a professional responsible for treatment, management and conduct of animals such as cattle, buffalo, horses, mules, goats and sheep. In addition, assignments are among the cowboy: feed the animals, do milking, training and preparing animals for cultural events and socioesportivos with the assurance that they are not subjected to violence, and, under the guidance of qualified veterinarians and technicians , assist with the care necessary for the reproduction of the species.

With the approval of the project, the Cowboys also have rights provided in all professions, but currently are not respected by most employers as overtime, unsanitary or hazardous and night-shift.

Were approved two amendments to the project when he was in the Commission of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform. However, they were removed from the text on the floor so that the project did not need to return to the Chamber. With this matter now goes to presidential approval.
