The Department of Agriculture (USDA ) publishes Monday ( 30/9 ) report quarterly grain stocks . The numbers are expected by the market and should influence the movement of prices on the Chicago ( CBOT / CME ) .

In the monthly report of supply and demand , released earlier this month, the U.S. government estimated ending stocks of old crop soybeans (2012/2013) in the country 3.41 million tons . U.S. corn reserves were estimated at 16.8 million . The next report of supply and demand is expected to release October 11 .

On Friday ( 27/9 ) , the prices of soybean in the U.S. stock market have risen . The contract for November, the shortest closed at U.S. $ 13.19 per bushel , up $ 0.03. The maturing March 2014 closed the to R $ 12.98 on Friday , valuing $ 0.02 .

Corn fell the last trading day of the week . The contract for December 2013, shorter term , fell $ 0.02 and closed at U.S. $ 4.54 per bushel . The maturing March 2014 closed at $ 4.66 per bushel , depreciation of $ 0.03 .

It is also planned to release the weekly monitoring of crop conditions , with more information about the progress of the harvest of the U.S. crop . The work is at an early stage and until last week had not reached 10 % of the areas of corn and soy , rates below the averages recorded last season .

Although there is an expected drop in U.S. crop than initially expected, experts believe that the harvest work can be a source of pressure on prices . On the other hand , demand for U.S. product can weigh . In the last weekly report of exports, the USDA reported business with nearly 3 million tons of soybeans between 13 and 19 September.

While the U.S. grain crops are removed , began planting in Brazil . The numbers of the National Supply Company ( Conab ) Initial estimates for the crop 2013/2014 is scheduled for Oct. 9 .

For soybeans , the expectation , at least for now , is that production exceeds that of the United States . But in some regions , producers face difficulties . In Mato Grosso , dry weather has reduced the entry of planters in crops, especially in the northern state average . " Again , weather will be the focus in the next three to four months , this time ma South America ," says consultant Peter Dejneka of PHDerivativos .
