Guinness elects "liger" of 418kg and 3m in length the largest cat in the world

Hercules has just entered the famous Guinness Book of Records. Son of a lion and a tiger, the animal, called "liger", was elected the largest cat in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records, 2014 edition.

With 418 kilograms and 3.3 meters long, Hercules live on the reservation Myrtle Beach Safari in South Carolina, in the United States.

The size and weight of Hercules, considered well above normal for a cat, have explanation. Critters type "liger" can get twice the size of their parents and weigh about 100 times more than a domestic kitten, which has on average 4 pounds.
