On 25 and 26 March 2014 , 750 experts , researchers , government officials and representatives of private agribusiness world will meet in the second edition of the Global Agribusiness Forum in São Paulo to discuss the future of the sector. Organized by the Brazilian Rural Society ( SRB ) and Datagro , the event will feature lectures from the likes of Jose Manuel Silva Rodriguez , Director General for Agriculture of the European Commission , Peter Baron , executive director of the International Sugar Organization ( ISO ) ; Roberio Silva , executive director of the International Coffee Organization ( ICO ) and Jean Marc Anga , Executive Director of the International Cocoa Organization ( ICCO ) .

" We have 30 % of Brazilian agriculture overseas, we export products to about 160 countries . And we have competition in the world. So let us bring outsiders to lead the debate on how to address this competition , "said Cesario Ramalho , president of SRB . " The government is not worried about Brazilian agriculture . We will have a new government next year and we need to convince him of the importance of agriculture , global competition , food safety . What depends on the private sector is doing very well , but the Ministry of Agriculture is scrapped , "he criticized .

" If we do not seek to discuss the link between the producer and the consumer does not add value . The concept of traceability , for example, is critical to the consumer. And in 2030 , two-thirds of the middle class in the world will be in Asia , "he added .Besides bringing together experts to discuss strategies for long -term solutions for the sector , the Global Agribusiness Forum 2014 will generate an official document , which will be forwarded to the authorities from around the world about what was discussed .In the previous edition ( 25 and September 26, 2012 ) , the event brought international personalities such as Secretary of the Treasury of the United States ( 1999-2001 ) Lawrence H.
